From December 13th to 16th, 2025, Xu Yisong, the deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, led a delegation to visit Guinea. During the visit, he met with Kuruma, the chairman of the National Transitional Council of Guinea, and Silla, the regional governor of Conakry, inspected the project of the parliament building in Guinea, and held working exchanges with Shanghai Baoye and Baowu Resources West Africa Company. Ambassador Sun Yong to Guinea accompanied and attended the relevant activities.
All sides warmly welcome Director Xu Yisong's visit and look forward to further strengthening exchanges and mutual visits, deepening mutual learning and reference in areas such as local governance, rule of law construction, and environmental protection, exploring cooperation Spaces in areas such as economic and trade cooperation, urban planning, meteorological early warning, and disaster prevention and mitigation, and contributing to enhancing the well-being of the people in both regions and consolidating the traditional friendship between the two countries.
